Can one workout use both reps and timed exercises?

Yes. Write each exercise as either a repetition target or a duration, put the steps in order, and include rests where you need them. The workout is a sequence, not one countdown.

The idea

Count what each movement needs.

Squats may make sense as 12 reps while a plank makes sense as 45 seconds. Turning both into the same measurement loses useful detail.

A mixed workout should show the complete order so you know when to count, when to watch time and when to rest.

A practical example

Full Body Mix

This is the same Full Body Mix used to explain the CrazyFit builder. Its repetition steps do not have a fixed duration, so a total time would be approximate.

  1. Squat — 12 reps
  2. Rest — 30 seconds
  3. Push-ups — 10 reps
  4. Rest — 30 seconds
  5. Plank — 45 seconds
  6. Rest — 30 seconds
  7. High Knees — 45 seconds

Keep in mind

Use the idea with context.

A timer cannot automatically know when you finish a repetition-based step. You still complete that step and move on when ready.

How CrazyFit helps
